Sitting correctly—exercise breaks are part of it

At RECARO, we have been dealing with the topic of the best way to sit for over 50 years. Various areas such as ergonomics, performance-supporting functions, and functional design play a major role.

No matter how well your gaming chair is designed and how optimally you have adjusted the settings for a proper sitting position at your desk, it is recommended to avoid uninterrupted sitting for too long whenever possible.

We have a few tips for you to incorporate small movement breaks while playing or working:

  1. To compensate for sitting for long periods of time, stand up regularly—preferably for a few minutes every hour. Even going to the kitchen can provide some exercise now and then.
  2. If you want to combine exercise with fresh air, go over to the window and let in some fresh air for a few minutes.
  3. If you also use your RECARO Exo gaming chair as an office chair, you can, for example, make a phone call while standing. Phone calls are also more dynamic when standing rather than sitting.
  4. A short walk around the block not only gets you moving, but also helps to get your circulation going and clear your head. If you have a dog, you can kill two birds with one stone and your four-legged friend gets their exercise too.
