RECARO x No Limit Gaming: Performance Academy
In cooperation with our partner, the eSports team No Limit Gaming, we present the Performance Academy. Simon, the experienced sports scientist who has already coached numerous top athletes and currently works as a performance coach, will guide you through the video series. The videos are about fitness exercises, nutrition, and the topic of sleep and recovery, which makes the Performance Academy perfect for gamers and eSports professionals.
If you have to perform at the highest level, you can’t ignore topics like fitness, nutrition, and mindset. This is not only true for classic athletes, but gamers and eSportsmen also benefit from it. We cover the topics in a total of three videos, and we also publish clips from the Performance Academy every week on our social media channels, such as Instagram, where all content is also available with subtitles.
The professionals from No Limit Gaming have everything they need at their disposal, including a team house and our RECARO Exo Gaming chairs, as well as Simon as a performance coach, who helps the young players deliver top performance.
Part 1: Fitness exercises
Exercises for the spine, pelvic lifts, skills to improve coordination—all this is included in the first Performance Academy video. Performance coach Simon guides you through all the fitness exercises together with a player. You can do all the exercises shown at home, which is perfect for the current situation. It is important that you slowly increase the number of exercises over time, as well as the repetition of the individual steps.
Part 2: Nutrition
Whether it’s the main course, a snack, or a drink, all these points affect us as gamers and eSports professionals alike. It’s easy to reach for chocolate, a soft drink, or a slice of pizza, but if you want to live a balanced life and deliver top performance, you should take the tips in this video to heart. Again, adjust your diet step by step, treat yourself to your favorite snack from time to time, but stick with it and you will feel the positive effects.
Part 3: Recovery and Mindset
It doesn’t matter whether you play a game now and then, battle with your buddies online, or want to compete at the highest level with gamers from all over the world; everyone knows the feeling of having lost a few rounds in a row or having been defeated in an important game. This is where points like the right mindset come into play. How can you ideally prepare yourself, how can you get into a healthy sleep rhythm, and can a cold shower in the morning be useful?
